Vali, Inc. is seeking a  Director of Maintenance to support the AMS Flight School located at Peter Prince Field, Milton, FL.

Job Summary:

The director of maintenance is responsible for the scheduling, documentation, and inspection of all AMS Aviation aircraft. He/she ensures that the maintenance department is adequately staffed and that the personnel are qualified and equipped to perform their assigned duties. The director of maintenance ensures that adequate parts and materials are retained in inventory in order to complete scheduled work in a timely manner. He/she is primarily responsible for coordinating with the FAA regarding FAR Part 91/141 maintenance requirements.

  • Must have an A&P with IA, at least 5 years of experience maintaining piston aircraft.

  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Must successfully complete the Company's training programs.
  • Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written
  • The fleet includes 14 aircraft: Cessna 172's, Piper Warriors, Piper Aztec, Piper Apache, Cessna 421
  • Contributing to a safe work environment by reporting workplace hazards
  • Ensuring compliance with all 14 CFR part 91/141 regulations.
  • Initiating job quotes for equipment installations and repairs.
  • Overseeing maintenance scheduling and parts/equipment inventory.
  • Completing aircraft paperwork (logbook entries, weight, and balance, etc.) and performing inspections, as required.
  • Ensuring work is completed on time and closing out work orders.
  • Ensuring that customer invoices are timely and accurate.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe work environment and encouraging a strong safety culture.
  • Verifying and documenting manpower and material requirements based on the work scheduled to be performed.
  • Maintaining a watch on the maintenance marketplace and remaining alert for new business opportunities.
  • Effectively managing the maintenance budget and looking for revenue-enhancing efficiencies.
  • Recruiting, equipping, training, and retaining quality maintenance employees.
