Summary Description:

Vali, Inc. is seeking a Junior Financial Manager. This position will provide support across the Program Planning Budget & Execution (PPBE) process, contributing to all aspects of budget development through execution. Contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct analysis on financial and budgetary trends impacting the office.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring metrics to track the effectiveness and progress of programs.
  • Monitor program execution to ensure alignment with DoD Comptroller Obligation and Expenditure benchmarks.
  • Prepare various documents and briefings for review and use by senior DoD leaders.
  • Assist in the development of required DoD PPBE process documentation, including Program Summaries, Budget Issue Papers, and Program Decision Memorandums.
  • Assist in identifying efficiencies and process improvements to enhance mission and cost effectiveness.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience related to DoD PPBE and financial management.
  • Ability to understand general business operations and follow general financial guidelines and accounting rules.
  • Ability to assess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards and sound financial management principles, under supervision.
  • Ability to differentiate and work with various Defense Appropriations.
  • Ability to understand and comply with Government standards, accounting principles, and system application standards.
  • Ability to maintain basic financial records and files.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and routine presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a financial related discipline.
  • Experience with DoD Financial Management Systems/Defense Acquisition Initiative (DAI) preferred.
